Kenichi, Shinzo and Shishimaru are forced to eat all sorts of foods with potatoes after a food shortage: potato pasta, potato croutons, potato salad, potato this, potato that and potato what - not. Kenichi is even starting to get potato related nightmares!
Synopsis
Mrs Mitsuba is worrying about the food shortage in town and decides to consult her husband. Hattori, who has been watching, decides to help the Mitsubas for they have done so much for him. A few minutes later, Mr Mitsuba comes home from work with a box of potatoes, and they have a dinner of potatoes. Kenichi, Shinzo and Shishimaru enjoy the food. On the other hand, the next day, they have potato breakfast, which winds Kenichi up, and even more so when Hattori drones on and on about the energy he needs to go to the battlefield of childhood (aka school).
At lunchtime, Kenichi has potato salad in his lunchbox (oh, not again!). Yumeko Kawai, who is sitting next to him, wonders why is looking gloomy. She then offers him something - potatoes. Kenichi gets really wound up.
That evening, Kenichi and Shinzo are playing with Kenichi's remote controlled Land Rover when Mrs Mitsuba calls them downstairs for dinner - pasta (phew!). They get ready to chow down when... NOT AGAIN!!!!! It's potato flavoured pasta!
That night, Kenichi tells Shinzo and Shishimaru that he has nightmares about potatoes invading his brain. He then comes up with an idea - to bury the potatoes in the garden. They then get some spades and shovels (and Shishimaru uses his paws) to bury the potatoes. Goodbye potatoes, hello anti - boredom..... or is it? The next morning, Shishimaru alerts the family that potato flowers are growing! Kenichi and Shinzo sink to the ground out of being fed up but Hattori pipes up that potatoes are good for health. Kenichi and Shinzo groan in unison; they are simply fed up of being fed potatoes every meal and Hattori's boring lectures.
